The Laboratory is supervised by Mr. Kory Krick. Aqua Test is pleased to have Mr. Krick as the Director of our Laboratory Division. Kory holds degrees in Biology and Chemistry from Central Washington University and has Graduate Work experience in Molecular Toxicology from Dartmouth College Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology. Mr. Krick is a member of the American Chemical Society, the International Union of Pure and Applied Chemists and certified through the Washington State Department of Ecology. He supervises the analysis of all Chemical and Biological tests. He develops and implements new protocols to keep up with the cutting edge of scientific technology. Aqua Test is constantly updating its technological procedures to keep up to date with the implementation of Environmental and Analytical Chemistry, as well as highly sophisticated computer data management. The quality and accuracy of the data generated by our laboratory is constantly being checked, validated and fine-tuned. Our Laboratory is credentialed through the Washington State Department of Ecology. Throughout the tenure of Mr. Krick, Aqua Test has not failed a single Performance Evaluation test through the Department of Ecology ever Aqua Test has a perfect track record in it's Performance Evaluations. Mr. Krick has been in the scientific field for over 10 years. While Kory was an undergraduate, he worked for a Scientist studying Acid Rain pollution in the Pacific Northwest. In this capacity, he helped develop strategies and scientific experiments within the laboratory to assess the seasonal chemical trends of environmental pollutants. This project, was funded by grants from the Washington State Department of Ecology. The studies from this project helped establish air pollution regulations in the state of Washington. Kory was awarded a scholarship to attend Dartmouth College Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology in 1992. While there, he studied the effects of genetically engineered immune molecules on human cells. The work also included studies on the toxicological effects of TCDD (Chemical in Agent Orange). After formal education, Kory went to work for the United States Department of Agriculture. He was responsible for inspecting food plants and the procurement of food products for the school lunch program. This involved inspecting food commodities and the quality control of the facilities. Following government regulatory work, Kory relocated to the Seattle area and worked as a Metals Chemist. This involved the use of EPA protocols for environmental samples to assess trace metals content. He ran analysis of the Cold Vapor Atomic Absorption Spectra for Mercury and trained new employees. Currently, Aqua Test employs Engineers, Scientists, and Technicians who are committed to the highest quality standards, and service to their customers. If Aqua Test gives you a data number you can be sure that it will be a conscientiously derived and thoroughly accurate one. |
